About the Team: 2010 will be the in-augural season for the South Jersey United FC Women's WPSL team and Under-20 team. SJU FC is excited about the opportunity to compliment its youth girls program with a women's program. We will leverage our profile in southern New Jersey together with the profile and network within the Tri-State Area of our strategic partner Youth Soccer Alliance (YSA), to offer an exciting and comprehensive amateur women's program both on and off the field. South Jersey United FC is a non profit 501c3 organization established to develop and provide a competitive and unique female football club. Based in southern New Jersey, experienced professional staff are dedicated to assisting female soccer players develop themselves for the elite college level and beyond. About the Coaching: Nick Juengert joins South Jersey United FC as a seasoned veteran of college and youth soccer. He has The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey women's soccer program performing at its highest level in over a decade as he finishes his seventh season as head women's soccer coach. The Ospreys had an outstanding 2009 and went 14-7-2 earning their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth. Stockton also defeated two ranked teams during the season and reached the championship game of the NJAC tournament for the third straight year.
Juengert has previously led the Ospreys to back-to-back ECAC Metro titles in 2003 and 2004. His Stockton teams have won 70 percent of their games. Juengert achieved a personal milestone in 2009 with his 100th victory.
Last year, Juengert coached the Ospreys to 18 wins and a berth in the NJAC title game for the second straight year while the Ospreys also earned their third consecutive NCAA Tournament at-large bid. In 2007, Stockton went 18-4-2 and fell just one victory short of the school record of 19 wins. Stockton also reached the NJAC tournament finals for the first time and earned its second consecutive at-large NCAA berth. Juengert coached his 2006 team to a 15-5-3 record and an NCAA Tournament bid in a campaign featured an eight-game unbeaten streak and an eight-win improvement over the 2005 rebuilding season that featured 17 freshmen.
Juengert guided the Ospreys to a tie for second place in the NJAC and a 14-6-2 record in 2004. Wins over Kean and Drew gave Stockton its third consecutive ECAC title and second with Juengert. Juengert made an impressive debut as Stockton's head coach in 2003 as the Ospreys jumped out to a 7-0 start that included an upset of second-ranked Messiah. They achieved a #6 national ranking in September and later won the 2003 ECAC Metro championship, capping a successful first campaign for their new mentor at 15-4-2.
Juengert became the head coach at Stockton following a six-year stint as an assistant men's soccer coach at Rider University, where he helped the Broncs win MAAC championships and earn NCAA Tournament berths in 1997 and 1998. Prior to joining the Rider staff, Juengert went 73-32-7 in six seasons as the head men's coach at Burlington County College. In 1996, the Barons finished as the national runner-up and Juengert was named the NSCAA Junior College National Coach of the Year, Region XIX Coach of the Year and Garden State Athletic Conference Coach of the Year.
Juengert also completed assistant coaching stints at Burlington CC, SUNY New Paltz and Willingboro High School, and he has worked with the New Jersey Olympic Development Program and the Medford Strikers. As a player, Juengert earned two letters apiece in soccer at Burlington County College and Rutgers University. He possesses a bachelor's degree in physical education and sports management from Rutgers.
