About the Team: Phoenix del Sol is a new WPSL franchise based in Phoenix, Arizona. The franchise is owned by SC del Sol, a large, very successful youth soccer club located in the North Phoenix area (www.scdelsol.com) Phoenix del Sol will be home to the many female athletes from the Phoenix Metro area that are currently playing in colleges around the country. About the Coaching: Les Armstrong will be the coach of Phoenix del Sol. Les is an 'A' license coach who is one of the most successful female coaches in the history of Arizona soccer. Les has won countless Arizona State Championships, Regional Championships and a National title. Type of Players: We are looking for dedicated, hard working players who have the ability to play at this level. We expect the players to have played at a high level of College soccer or Club soccer. We intend to put together a large squad of players who can train together throughout the summer.
Local Colleges: University of Arizona (Tucson), Arizona State University (Tempe), Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff).
