About the Team: The Team had a great first year in the WPSL. They finished in 4th place in 2009 .  They look to improve on that spot this year.  Mike Smith and Brad Pollard will be assisting this season as well as other guest coaches.

About the Coaching: Head coach Stan Rodrigues will look to lead the Rain to the success the organization is aiming for both on and off the field. Rodrigues has coached both boys and girls of all ages for the Westside Metros Soccer Club for five years, and has coached throughout the state of Oregon for more than 13 years. He has also coached at several high schools in the state, helping lead the 2002 Tualatin High School girls to the state finals. In his club coaching career, Rodrigues has led his teams to 11 finals appearances and five championships. He also took home the state championship with his U-18 Westside Metros girls' team in 2008 and 2009. He was also  the 2009 WPSL Co-Coach of the year . As a player, Rodrigues has played semi-professionally in New York , as well as in the Southern California Men's Premier League. In 1995, he was invited to tryout for the San Jose Clash of the MLS. Rodrigues and his wife Angela have two sons; Vince, 16, and Darian, 5.

Type of Players: The team plans to draw players from the player rich Pacific Northwest. The team also plans to attract players returning home for the summer, who want to maintain or improve their skills. Also the team plan to attract a few international players to bring the flavor of Diversity to the area.

Local Colleges: University of Portland, Portland State University , Pacific University, Concordia University, University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Western Oregon University, Willamette University.

Player Tryouts: 2010 Tryouts will be March 23,24 and 25th if need be. We are looking for committed players . There is a 50 dollar tryout fee. CASH only, no checks or debit cards. If you are under the age of 18 then a parent must be on site to sign for you. 16 and up may tryout for the team.
